The Bagir-Polgat Group
has made as its banner the values of
assisting others and contributing to the community through active
volunteer work and support of important projects. This year, the
group decided to focus its efforts on children and youth, enabling
them to grow into a better reality than their current situation
provides. The company decided to join hands with the MEIR PANIM
organization, which runs a comprehensive network of activities throughout
Israel and offers high quality welfare services in Kiryat Gat: a
respectable restaurant, a large supplies center, and, most of all,
a giant food plant currently being set up, which will distribute
50,000 hot meals to children throughout the Negev region.
This past summer, the Bagir-Polgat group decided to enable all children
in Kiryat-Gat to attend summer camps, including children from disadvantaged
homes. In cooperation with the Kiryat Gat Foundation, the Kiryat
Gat Community Center and MEIR PANIM, they identified around 900
children without sufficient means and various other children from
the city, and the company sponsored their enrollment in day camps.
MEIR PANIM provided these camps with a wholesome breakfast for the
children.
