Denver has impressively responded to the serious issue of poverty in Israel. On the 7th night of Hanukka, December 13th, approximately 300 people attended the first Israeli Soup Kitchen at the JCC. Organized by ActionIsrael with co-sponsorship of the JCC & Allied Jewish Federation, its purpose was to raise awareness and funds to support the overwhelming need to support the increasing number of poor in Israel.
